Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork

Hey there!

I have a delicious recipe that is absolutely perfect for harvest season. I love this meal because it’s easy, inexpensive, and perfect to bring to the field. This is my go-to lazy meal. I get the perks of making a home cooked meal without all of the work.

Servings: 8

  • 2-3 pound pork shoulder or butt roast (mine was a little on the heavy side, but still turned out perfect.)

  • 1 can of root beer (12 ounce)

  • 1 bottle barbeque sauce (18 ounce) We used brown sugar barbeque sauce

  • 8 hamburger Buns

  1. Place defrosted pork roast in slow cooker

  2. Pour in can of root beer

  3. Cover and let cook for 6 hours on low or until meat shreds easily

  4. Once cooked, drain the root beer

  5. Shred meat with a fork

  6. Pour in barbeque sauce and stir together

  7. Serve on bun (Yep, we use the cheap ones too)
