I have a delicious recipe that is absolutely perfect for harvest season. I love this meal because it’s easy, inexpensive, and perfect to bring to the field. This is my go-to lazy meal. I get the perks of making a home cooked meal without all of the work.
2-3 pound pork shoulder or butt roast (mine was a little on the heavy side, but still turned out perfect.)
1 can of root beer (12 ounce)
1 bottle barbeque sauce (18 ounce) We used brown sugar barbeque sauce
8 hamburger Buns
Place defrosted pork roast in slow cooker
Pour in can of root beer
Cover and let cook for 6 hours on low or until meat shreds easily
