I tried a new recipe this week and it was a hit! This is a remarkable accomplishment for me. Wade and I both know how the first time making a new dish goes…
Generally, we both know I have a back up meal planned (like a frozen pizza), because odds are that I am going to mess it up and/or burn the shit out of it. To both of our surprise…it was great!
It was delicious and I was impressed with how easy it was to make.
Serves:
About 4
Prep time:
15 minutes
Cook time:
1 hour and 30 minutes – 2 hours (depending on your crockpot)
Ingredients:
1 container (16.3 oz) of Pillsbury Grands (or biscuit of your choice)
3 teaspoons of Italian seasoning
1 cup of sliced pepperoni
1 cup of pizza sauce (I used Hunt’s tomato sauce)
I felt like the dish could’ve used a little more sauce, maybe I’ll shoot for 1 1/2 cups next time)
2 cups (8 oz) of shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
Spray Crock-pot with nonstick spray
Open biscuit container and tear each biscuit into 6 pieces
Place biscuits into a large bowl
Cut the pepperoni slices into quarters
Place 1/2 of the pepperoni into the bowl
Sprinkle the 3 teaspoons of Italian seasoning into the bowl
Toss to mix
Place the bowl mixture into the crockpot evenly
Spread pizza sauce over the biscuit mixture
Make sure that there is sauce on the edges so that the biscuits are not touching the crockpot alone
Sprinkle cheese and the other half of pepperoni quarters on top of the sauce
Cover the top of Crock-pot with a paper towel and place lid on top to prevent condensation dripping onto the biscuits.
Cook on high for an hour and a half to two hours (depending on your Crock-pot)
Make sure biscuits are fully cooked
Once they are fully cooked, take the Bubble Pizza out of the Crock-pot, serve, and enjoy!
My Rating: 4/5 stars
Note: This not a family recipe or one I created all on my own.*
